Great water gun but breaks easily. Sep 13, 2009

These guns are great fun for water play or in the pool but they are not durable.
Great fun in the backyard.... May 02, 2012
By BigShopper What a great toy for a hot summer day. I set up 2 buckets of water at opposite ends of the yard and the kids wear themselves out chasing each other back and forth. Product is quite sturdy, been dropped a million times, stepped on, whacked, etc...still works great. Highly recommend for any one looking to get wet.
Get the 24" or 36" Feb 17, 2012
By C. MacPhail Stream Machines are loads of fun on a hot day. In a pool, lake, or river where reloading is easy.
But get the 24 inch model or 36 inch model. Way better than the 12", which has so little capacity and range.
Stream Machine quality has gone down hill since 2002. They are lighter and more breakable but still, there is nothing better for serious hot-weather water fights.

Double barrel looks impressive, but you'll have about half the range. Single barrels will pulverate you. Go 36-inch. Or 24-inch for younger kids.

Plenty effective Aug 30, 2009
By J. Digaetano
"iconic nerd"
We used it while rafting on the Upper Delaware river to assault other rafts with streams of water. It held up just fine to the abuse, and did it's job.
It's effective range however is much less than the packaging claims. The longer ones are much better for range. (We were consistently out-ranged by them, but no matter that's what paddles are for.)
