If you really want to get 'em wet Jul 14, 2009
By Another reviewer I bought 5 of these for my son and his buddies for my son's 8th birthday party. They had a blast with them, and the water guns took some pretty rough usage. Anything that can stand up to a bunch of 8 year old boys is good in my book. The only complaint my son had was there is no way it can shoot 75 ft. as the package claims. I'd say it's range is more like 30 ft. Still, that's pretty good. It holds a lot of water, so we filled a kiddie pool to use for fast refills (and to keep those hoodlums from having to come into the house all soaking wet for more water).

Best water gun for 5-7 year olds I have found. Aug 10, 2010
By Kristin Hart This gun is the best! I feel like I have bought just about every water gun on the market: super soakers, small guns, air guns, pump guns, you name it. They all break in some way and or I get sick of filling them and try something new. This gun has lasted the whole summer. I ended up buying 5 guns so we can have fights with guests when they come over. All have survived a lot of battles.
Easy to fill:
I fill a plastic tub of water in the yard (or our guys can use the hose to fill the tub) and they can easily fill the gun by themselves.
Perfect size:
The kids can load quickly and run fast with the gun full. They all achieve a good blast of water no matter how small they are. I think the longer guns of this kind aren't as fun because they are heavier when full and clumsier.
Durable:
I think they are pretty durable. They have lasted the summer (dropped off the deck, whacked, run over with big wheels). They can crack I am sure, they just haven't yet.
Simple:
No moving parts or things that can fall off. Easy to figure out. Easy to shoot.
Not so good:
We have brought these in the pool and they take on water inside some how and then leak slowly out. They still work in the pool, but they get heavy and leak a bit in the car on the way home. They do drip a bit if you have a full gun and hold it flat or not upright. But heck, this is a water fight most of the time and that is fine.
This is by far the best gun we have ever had. It is like those foam ones, but easier to hold, easier to load, less clunky, and looks like a "gun" which makes them "cool". It is the best product we bought this summer.

Water gun Jun 30, 2010
By Bear Really bad. It leaks terribly if you don't hold it pointing down, which you never would unless you were aiming at your own feet.
Stream is wide but doesn't shoot very far, at least not accurately or steadily.
Niece bought water shooter things at a dollar store that worked much better than my ten dollar one.
