not practical Jun 09, 2008
By swebby it's a simple design and works well enough to keep kids from going out. But it doesn't have an over ride button for coming back into the house. It you're like us and go in and out to your backyard alot, it's irritating to have the alarm go off whenever you come back IN the house.

Pool Alarm Mar 14, 2009
By T. Connolly I purchased 4 of these devices to pass inspection for my pool. First, this thing works; at 130 db you can't miss it. That said, there are some issues. First you can, as a tall person, disable the alarm when you exit to the pool. The bad part is you cannot disable when you go back inside. The alarm goes off until you hit the bypass button. It's only a second or two, but at 130 db......... The other problems is the adhesives strips supplied with each to install......they do not hold to the unit itself or the sensors. Each day (or night) something would fall, and well, 130db of sound at 3am led to the removal of all the units after the inspection. Sadly I'm still scraping the adhesive strips remaining on the door jambs. If they only stuck that well to the units themselves!!! They do come with screws, but that would have voided my warranty on my double paned hurricane door glass. We have no children, so all the units are in a drawer to be reinstalled in the unlikely event we ever sell our house.
All received broken. Jun 09, 2010

If they had worked like they were supposed to, these would be great. All of our units came and were not working. Some chirp a little others, didn't chirp at all. Its advertised on listing that these can be used indoors, not true. I even have some units outdoors, in direct sunlight still don't work. Make sure you test them out before your 30 day return policy is up, otherwise it will be a VERY costly mistake like we had.

By M. Gibbons I purchased and installed this device on a shed door. It works. Im also happy that the device isnt so sensitve as to be set off by high winds moving door slightly.

money for nothing Apr 11, 2009
By Tudor Austin I sent for this item to comply with the rental licensing laws. It was purchased to insure the safety of children who might wander out of a door and into our pool. The alarm is shrill and demanding so an adult would come running. We had a tenant scheduled for rental, but could not get our license because of this seller's failure to get the goods to us on time. We contacted them to find out where the alarms were and got no answer. Disturbing and costly to us. Do not use this seller.
