Description
Techko's patented Safe Pool provides alarm protection to outdoor gates or home doors leading to potentially dangerous pool and spa areas. The Safe Pool features weather resistant construction and mounts directly to either wood or metal doors, windows or gates with the convenience of a built-in solar powered battery. When children open the protected door, window or gate by more than 1 each, the unit will sound its built-in 110 dB high output alarm, notifying nearby adults of the attempted entry. The by-pass button allows entry to exit for adults without sounding the alarm, but if the sensors are left open the alarm will sound within 7 seconds. Once the door, window or gate is closed, the unit will reset automatically to resume protection. By Chris The instructions are inadequate and inconsistent. The product is the poorest made thing I have every purchased. The plastic tab that covers the battery compartment does not snap shut and merely falls off. It is impossible to mount the sensors with the double sided tape and use the sensor housing that allegedly will protect them from the weather. The double sided tape is not sufficient to hold up the solar battery portion. It is too late to return it so will be filing this one in the trash.

By Philly Rob Dead on arrival. This looks like it might have been a return, I'm contacting the seller (Overstock Bargains) today.
If you're interested, the battery pack that comes with this alarm looks like a 4 - AAA NiMH or NiCd pack.
