Wet Fun, but heavy & hard for 7 year old to use Aug 02, 2008

This is really a fun water blaster for the right kids. Good for Tweens and Preteen kids like it a lot and the shield is cool (although in reality, its only a little bigger than the blaster itself, still kids enjoy it). The ability to shoot sideways while using the shield is also very cool and surprising the first time. It is heavy when full, but the strap & grip help alot.
Biggest problems are my 7 year old son can't hold it easily, or pump it fully, and the trigger is too hard for him to squeeze properly. I suspect next summer it'll work fine for him. My older son (age 11) and friends, say it works fine. Shield seems flimsy, but has held up so far (2 weeks). Even if it breaks, the blaster itself is so big, it can be used alone as a shield.
Distance is good for the older kids and the multiple nozzles are fun. All in all it fun and can definitely get the kids wet and cool them down on the hot days.
