5EXCELLENT WEAPON FOR PURE PWNAGE!  Mar 06, 2007 By Rusty Shackelford
This gun is great! It combines a wide mouth opening for ice cubes (thus antiquating the dated Arctic Shock) while also equipped with a powerful shot gun blast (like that of the Flash Flood). Thus, this combines two great concepts into one powerful package that looks very sleek. The range is also very good; with 10-15 pumps you have a 30ft stream or about a 20ft shotgun blast, which is huge and unloads massive amounts of water. If you get this, you MUST buy the 100 oz water back pack since that shotgun blast is so addicting. The 40 oz capacity is good, but the true potential of this gun is only accessible with an expanded water supply. This gun puts the Cover Control to shame, though the Covert Control also has some more functionality, it is vastly underpowered compared to the Arctic Blast.

5An awesome super soaker  Jun 17, 2007 By J. Levinson
I am writing this review for my 8-yr old son who is dictating.....The arctic blast super soaker is really good and shoots really far. The downside is that you have to pump it a really long time to 'shock' people with a big blast. If you put lots of ice and pump it 50 times it will be really cold.

5back in business  Nov 01, 2007 By D. Chow
A few years back super soaker went down hill when they hit walmart shelves. Cheap, leaky, unreliable, china made worthless material.

Well, super soaker is back, and this gun screams quality.

Apart from the odd shape, it is made of heavy duty plastics. The pump is solid and the mechanics of it is strong and beefy. Fat rubber seals effectively make it watertight. This all adds up to one quality gun that you can toss carelessly into your back seat of the car without worrying about leaks. It builds pressure quick with only a few pumps, and the water stream is tight and powerful. The quick fill valve concept works great.

The gun looks deceivingly small in the pictures but it's actually quite a large gun.

Definitely would buy again.

5Great Water Gun  Sep 09, 2007 By David Tengdin "Dreamingfurther"
I got 10 of these guns for a party this summer and they were awsome! I actually have taken them to college and they already have become a great hit. They have pretty much the best range you could hope for from a medium assault style rifle, and they are not too bulky.

Simple rundown on the gun. They pump up from the front, have a triger on the handle for a normal shot (for which you only need to pump 3 or 4 times) which has a maximum range of probably 35ft, and an efective range of probably about 20-25ft. Then if you pump them up extra (10 to 15 times) you can pull back the shotgun release on the top of the gun and unleash a much larger amount of water the spreads out to be about 2 or 3 ft wide, but probably is only efective at about 10ft.

The other nicest thing tho, is the fact that the water chamber isn't the presure chamber. So on the cover for the water chamber it actually has a one way valve that you can fit small (evan or poland spring sized) water bottle tops into. This is really great for re-filling on the run, and you can use water bottles basicaly like extra clips of amo.

Botom line, I got em when they were 40% off and it was a steal. Even for the normal price these guns are worth the cash!

5Awesome Buy!!!  Apr 16, 2008 By Umbrella Executive "Ozwell E. Spencer"
Can't get better than this for 20 dollars. It has a pretty decent reservoir and there is NO leakage. You can keep it the car to soak the unexpecting and not worry about anything getting wet.

It has two firing options. The first is what you would expect, the single stream, which shoots a really good distance. Then though, the BIG shot. The top has a shotgunesque release that will let out a ton of water in a short wide spray. This is what makes the gun so great.

It also features a wide opening for the water so that you can add ice cubes. Also, be sure to note that the usual righty-tighty lefty-loosey mentality will not work when opening the reservoir, it's opposite for some reason.
