Shocked that it is so durable May 24, 2011

I purchased this float as a birthday present for my 12 year old son and his friends to use at his party. Needless to say, I did not expect it to withstand what nine 12 year old boys could dish out so I totally expected it to be busted or spring a leak from day one. To my ultimate surprise and pleasure, it did neither. It is very heavy gauge and withstood all the flipping, jumping, pulling, and stretching that they delivered. The one thing that I thought would totally be a tear for sure - the headrests - didn't even budge and several times I saw them used as a means to climb over the top. That all being said, I'm not recommending this product be mistreated this way; I'm just pointing out that if it can survive the punishment it was dealt at my house, it should stand up great for anyone else that will treat it right. I also wanted to point out that the picture does not lie; it will even hold adults very efficiently. I also like the fact that it has a center piece that can be put in or out. The only downside that I have seen - which isn't really a downside - is that once it's blown up (with a compresser of course - don't be crazy and think you are going to blow this up with your mouth) it is very large and don't store just anywhere. All in all, a definite thumbs up from my crew :)

By Jeri Huckabay We live on the river and the loungers with all the netting in the center and seats get nasty and dirty. This is all vinyl with a removable center that makes a good floaty. It has been used by teenagers and kids for several parties and still holding up!..NO leaks. It has sturdy hooks and we can secure it close to the dock. The kids actually like diving through the middle as well as sitting on it and jumping onto it. I am buying another...just in case they wear this one out.

By dwane purchased this item over 30 days ago expecting summer to start blew up island on saturday 70degrees wow. found it had a leak. obviously manufactures defect, also discovered if you pull the plugs out, it will lose all its air very unsafe strongly urge Amazon to pull these blow up islands from there shelves and to return them to the manfacturer thank you
