doesn't work too well with a 2 liter, but... May 12, 2009 you might notice that this gun is always shown with a 1-liter bottle, but advertises 'Use your own bottle up to two liters!' I found that when used with a two liter, the bottle sags down and you need to support it with your shoulder like a bazooka, which is very hard during a water war. Also (especially with a 2-liter) I found that the bottle crushes as its water is used up because air isn't pumped back into the bottle. And finally, comparing the Bottle Shot to the Flash Flood, this gun cost $8.00-15.00. The Flash Flood costs ~$30. The Bottle Shot shoots more water at less range than the Flash flood. The Flash Flood has a quick fill cap, but the Bottle Shot has the bottle interchangability feature. 1 liter is about 33 ounces and the Flash Flood has a 40 ounce capacity. All in all, it's a great gun.

2 kids and mom LOVE this toy Jul 04, 2009
By BeckyFS I am constantly battling the frustration of little brother not being able to keep up with big brother. This water gun is AWESOME! Both boys can easily shoot and refill BY THEMSELVES. (For me, this is the ulitmate toy.) Both boys can use a 2 liter bottle as well. They have played with them for two months now, no breakage. Look for it at Target for $7.99.

Fun. Solid. Fewer parts to break. Jan 04, 2009
By Bob Dobbs Very simple gun. You pump it back and forth to make the water spray. It draws water from a bottle with a standard 2-liter-bottle type fitting. It comes with a small bottle. My larger boy uses a 2 liter bottle. This does not pressurize with air as do some other water guns. It is just a water pump. I like that because there is less to break. My boy does not seem to mind it is not as fancy as some of the others. It does spray about 20 feet as claimed. Fairly rugged for an inexpensive plastic toy. It will withstand a few drops to the cement.
Another review says the price is high. The main listing price is somewhat high. If you dig further, though, in the "new and used" section under the main listing, you will find other vendors with lower prices (at least as of the day I write this). I found one for about $13 plus shipping.

The toy overall must be good. But the super soaker bottle blitz is a cheaper and updated version of this gun. it's basically the same exact thing.
Buy the bottle Blitz it's updated and cheaper only $8.99

I usually love the prices on Amazon and Amazon merchants for products and with Amazon Prime, even if something is a little more than somewhere else on the internet, it is usually worth it for me to buy it on Amazon. $22.99 is a little much for this water gun that you can buy directly from Hasbro for just $7.99 though...
