5A Great, Affordable Pool for Sitting or Floating  Jul 21, 2009 By J. S. Elias "jen9999"
I've had this pool for two summers, and I just love it as a place to soak in the sun and cool off. I opened it up on my brick patio, filled it with air using a portable pump that I had from my indoor air mattress, smoothed out the bottom, and began filling with water. Last year I often only filled the pool to a depth of about 4 inches so that I could lie on the bottom without water getting in my ears. This year, I figured out that my Spring Float could be used to float in the pool! Close your eyes and you could be in a huge pool on vacation!!

The pool holds about 350 gallons at its fullest. (Note: dimensions given are to the outside of the pool and do not indicate its volume.) I have to dump the pool every week because it attracts mosquito larvae and other floating things! I use a kitchen strainer to remove leaves in between refillings. The pool has a convenient drain at one corner. However, I also figured out how to use my garden hose to easily drain some of the water to a nearby tree. That helps me feel that the water is not wasted when I have to dump it. To clean it, I just quickly rub a small towel on all of the bottom and bottom rings, and then hose it out upside down and refill.

This year, the pool has developed a slow leak in the bottom ring. I'm not surprised because I stored it hanging over some equipment in my garage and I was sure the cat would have clawed it during the winter! It may have developed the leak when I filled it one cool morning and then the day warmed up quickly. Heat may have expanded the air and caused a leak in a seam. I don't know, but I suggest you fill it at the hottest part of the day, just to be safe.

By the way, the people in the pool in the picture must be from some tribe of miniature people, because I feel much larger than that in the pool! I feel like I take up most of the length of the pool. I think two teens or average-sized adults like me could sit at opposite corners and stretch out and visit.

4Surprising durability  Aug 30, 2009 By R. Crews
So far, so good - one entire day with 40+ kids. Used it as a 'landing pad' at the end of a water slide. Put carpet pad beneath and had no holes or damage by end of day. If we get a few more weekends out of it I'll be impressed.

No problems with seller - fast shipping.

5Great pool  Mar 07, 2011 By Jos Smyth
Pretty big and can fit 4 full grown adults at a time. Takes a while to fill up with a garden hose (2hours), but is a great sized pool to jump into during the summer

2No drain plug  Jun 25, 2011 By C. Jordon
I really wished I would have seen the other review about this pool not having a drain plug. This pool did take a while to fill up with air. This pool has 3 panels that need to be filled with air before you can fill it with water. We only had a bike tire pump so of course it took HOURS to fill the sides with air. The pool is a really good size. The kids loved playing in the pool and had lots of fun. Fast forward to a week later the pool need to be drained of the water and refilled because the water is a little dirty. Trying to drain this pool is the biggest issue and if I still had the receipt I would send it back for a refund, plus I saw the same exact pool at Walmart for $25.

Well let me tell you how big of a pain it is to drain this pool: After a week the air has started to seep out of the sides and the sides aren't as firm anymore. My 7yo daughter has to stand on the side of the pool to get the water to drain, which is hard because the side is filled with air and it's unstable to stand on. Once the water gets down to about 5 inches I needed to lift the side of the pool to force the water to one side so that it would finish draining. This pool is heavy and very hard to lift and if I had another adult to help it would be easier to drain and not be so much of a hassle. After lifting the pool I was too exhausted to fill the sides up with air and then refill with clean water. This pool is just too much of a hassle for weekly use and after only 2 times using the pool I'm packing it up and putting it in storage :(

The drain is a big issue and this pool doesn't have a drain plug which it should have since the pool is so big and I dont want to have to go and buy a pump to drain a kiddie pool. Today I purchased a snapset pool with doesn't require blowing up with air, you just stretch it out and fill with water. Draining is easy because you just collapse the side and watch all the water come out. This pool isn't worth the hassle.
