PoolGuard DAPT-2 - Door Alarm. The Door Alarm will sound in 7 seconds when a child opens the door, and the alarm will continue to sound until an adult comes to the door and resets the alarm. Poolguard Door Alarm will sound in 7 seconds even if a child goes through the door and closes it behind them. The Door Alarm is always on and will automatically reset under all conditions. Obnoxious! so good if that's what you want... May 19, 2011
By Brenda511 this alarm is loud and that's great for when it's needed, BUT there is no way to disable it. Since my family frequently spend time on the deck, going to and fro for cookouts, it is more of a nuisance than a benefit. I'm going to get a pool alarm. And from the 1st review, I guess sending it back means I pay a restock fee..

I bought this alarm thinking that I needed it to pass inspection on my newly installed pool. My husband and I fought the law about needing an alarm on a screen door, AND WON! We no longer needed this alarm, so I wanted to send it back. When I called the company, the gentleman told me that it would be a 25% restocking fee!! So not only did I have to pay to get it shipped to me, I had to pay to ship it back and then pay to have someone put it back up on the shelf. I understand restocking fees, but 25% for a tiny little box? Come on guys, it's not like you need to fire up the fork lift!! Boo...
