4Very cute pool w/ slight defect  Jul 03, 2007 By Robin M. Brazelton
The Intex baby pools are great fun for baby and toddler. This is our second year buying an Intex baby pool. The first one finally deflated after a complete year of imaginative play. Not only can it be used with water, we fill it with balls to create a ball pit, fill it with pillows to create a great comfy and cozy toddler space, and we also drape a super lightweight cloth to create a fort. My only little quam is that with each pool comes with a set of little attachable floats, and with each pool we have had at least one float from each set had a hole, and was not able to be inflated. Not a terribly big deal, but appears to be a consistent manufacture's defect.

5Loved this pool  Nov 03, 2008 By Ruby Melendez "Roobsta"
I bought this pool for my six month old. I figured the beach water would be too cold and that water would warm up in this pool and she could cool off in it without freezing. The mushroom shade is perfect, she sits right under the dark spot so she's not in the sun. It's sturdy and not too difficult to blow up the old fashioned way. It even comes with little blow up toys. This is a good buy!! Loved it!

5Adorable pool for babies and toddlers alike.  May 26, 2010 By Read-A-Holic
I just purchased this pool and thought it best to blow each piece of it up to see how well they would keep their form. So far, so good, since I did it last evening. The little blow-up toys are a real plus too. I cannot wait until the little grandchildren get up here to try it out. I also like the fact they they have a roof-type cover in the mushroom-shaped top to shade them somewhat from the sun.

2Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but.....  Jun 20, 2011 By estep705
I read all the positive reviews on this pool and was excited to receive it. It was adorable, just like the picture and my daughter loved it. HOWEVER, please be careful; especially if you are using with babies. There are 3 little blow up butterflies that velcro to the sides of the pool. My 11-month old pulled them off and put them in the pool with her (to be expected). The very first time (and only) time we used the pool, the round quarter-sized velcro pieces on the back of the blow up toys came off into the pool. My husband initially thought our daughter had swallowed one because he couldn't find it. He was freaking out. We found it stuck to the side of the pool. She could have easily put this in her mouth. So, I wouldn't put the small blow up toys in the pool with a baby who puts things in her mouth. Also, the top of it apparently has a slow leak and the mushroom slowly deflated. Sigh. Oh well, I sent it back and got the Step2 baby pool. More expensive, but better.

5Fun pool at an excellent price!  May 30, 2011 By A reader
This pool is a great fit for my 9 month old daughter (large for her age). It's actually bigger than it looks in the picture, and includes six inflatable toys, two of which velcro onto the side, which my girl loves to take on and off. I wasn't sure how much we would use it, so didn't want to pay a lot, so I didn't expect to get a pool this great. It seems much more expensive than it is. My daughter had a blast, and will definitely continue to use it a lot this summer.

A few specific notes: there is a lot of visual stimulation and room to move around. The water gets to a nice depth for a small child/toddler (goes up to her mid/low belly when she is sitting on her butt), and the mushroom top provides great shade. The only possible negative (although not for me) is that you do need to sit next to it to be able to see your child in all spots of the pool. You don't need to lean forward, but for someone that wants to monitor their child from a chair or a little ways away and/or someone with difficulty sitting on the ground, it could pose a problem. It is an absolutely EXCELLENT value, however, and I would highly recommend it.
