Description
Leisure Time pH Balance pH Balance is a unique pH balancer that maintains the ideal pH level between 7.2 and 7.8. Eliminates the need to adjust pH on an ongoing basis. Use each time water is refilled - one bottle treats up to 500 gallons of water. pH Balance should not be used in hard water areas where calcium reading is above 150 ppm. In these conditions, this formula will soften hard water and release calcium into spa water possibly causing cloudy water, scaling and clogging of spa filter. If you are not in a hard water area, but experience clouding of spa water after applying pH Balance, Leisure Time recommends using Bright and Clear to return clarity to water. Compatible with chlorine, bromine, ozone and mineral purification systems. Due to the unique buffering capacity, it is not necessary to adjust the calcium level in the spa.

We refilled our tub yesterday and added alk up twice to get pH perfect at 7.6 then added the pH balance and it went up to 8.4! added pH down twice now, still working on it at 8.0. Our previous problem was persistent acidity so this is most unexpected. I waited about 40 minutes after the last alk up to recheck pH. If I was going to do it again maybe I would wait a day before adding the pH balance, though it doesn't say anything about needing to wait on the directions.

By L. Tierney This product works as described. The pH of the hot tub is controlled very well. Only fluctuation seen is when bromine level lowers. Shocking the system brings pH back in line. I've used this on two fills and has worked perfectly in both uses. Using this I've had no foaming issues and not needed to add any pH correction chemicals.
