Description
Concentrated formula deep cleans cartridge filters and removes dirt, oil, grease and scale. An overnight soak will assure complete removal of all contaminants including those that may have been deeply set over months of use. Use every three months to ensure proper filtration and easy spa maintenance. Instructions: Remove grids or cartridges from filter. In a clean, plastic pail, bucket or trash can with 8 gallons of water, add contents of FILTER CLEAN. (This is enough solution to clean 110 square feet of filter area.) Place cartridge or grids upright in solution. Soak for a minimum of 3 hours. For maximum effectiveness, soak overnight. Remove filter from solution. Hose off filter with high pressure nozzle and replace.

Amazing Nov 09, 2007

O Cleaner Works well to clean pool filter cartridge Sep 03, 2011
By Richard C. Hellenbrecht O Filter Clean does a good job of making a very messy job a lot easier. After two weeks or so in the pool a filter cartridge is pretty ugly coming out of the pool. Grab a 5 gallon bucket, follow the directions and put a half bottle with 4 gallons. Put the filter in for an overnight bath. I've found that its good to turn over the cartridge so it gets completely exposed. Simply remove the cartridge and rinse for about 15 minutes to remove the sludge. I've done the job without O Cleaner, but it took nearly an hour with lots of splash back of very ugly stuff.

Leisure Time is normally a reliable company, and so is Amazon, but products like this need an additional warning to the consumer:
(1) This product it contains hydrochloric acid, which, if it comes into contact with the skin, will cause severe burns. Your MUST buy rubber gloves to clean your spa filter, and if the liquid goes down into the glove while you are working (which seems likely), you'll end up in the hospital anyway. Yippee!!!
(2) Because the product is so dangerous, it can't be returned to Amazon. This should go into a bold upper-case warning before you are allowed to make such a ridiculous purchase.

By FLConsumer I wish I could return it. Smells with chlorine is so strong, I had to stop using it. Not so sure about cleaning quality either, I see foam after using it for some time.
