Very Nice Product Aug 29, 2010 We bought two chairs and are enjoying them. They required no assembly, are light and fold onto themselves which makes them easy to transport--important since we carry them in our truck bed for use when we travel in our RV. They are quite comfortable--my husband has fallen asleep in his many times. I like the fact that head rest is adjustable. I push it all the way down to support the small of my back. There are a few things I don't like as much: 1. There is no stop for a middle position so it's either sit up fairly straight or recline and see the sky. If you want mid position you have to balance your weight to get it. 2. The color fades quickly. We left ours out--it rained and then sun came out so we left them out to dry. Result is sun fade so we're careful to keep them chairs back under the awning at all times. 3. No cup holder--it would be great to have a place to set a soft drink or cup of coffee. 4. One chair came with a plastic cover for the bottom "foot rest" The other didn't. My husband rigged something so they'd match. Overall we like the chairs. They were good value and I'd recommend them.
Poor Customer Service from LaFuma Aug 22, 2010 Chair arrived and appeared fine but when sat in it began to tip over. Closer examination revealed a bolt connection had been missed during factory assembly. When I fixed same chair is now useable b ut does not sit squarely on ground (something must have bent slightly when it started to collapse). LaFuma's only suggstions were 1. Return it to Amazon. Since I had already thrown away the shipping materials and this was an oversized item that was not a viable option. Or, 2.open a warranty claim with LaFuma, which would entail a fee payment. Also not a good option. So I'll have to settle for an unsteady $150 chair. Buyer beware.
Bought for my Mom Feb 06, 2010 I bought this chair as a Christmas gift for my Mom. She wanted a nice, comfortable chair while she sat on her deck. Haven't been able to use it outside yet because it is still winter. We both sat in it and it is really comfortable. You can adjust the recline and tighten it down with a handle and it does not slip...so far so good. She really likes it.
The head rest kinda sucks. She removed it because it kept sliding down towards the top of her back so she just put a regular small pillow in its place...no big deal. I like the padded arm rests, they are really comfortable.
Easy to fold up and even my Mom can carry it so it is not heavy.
I only gave the chair 4 stars because I want to see how it handles weather conditions. But it is so light weight you can move it inside if it is going to rain...so I don't see that being a problem.
Super comfortable Nov 11, 2009 We have a friend who is in a lot of pain and the zero gravity in this chair allows him to sleep. Love than you can change the tilt so easily and it stays where you set it.

Want a great nap? Sep 07, 2009 I made the mistake of unpacking my new Lafuma recliner in the kitchen after a long day at work- in 3 minutes I was asleep! THIS is the comfort that I've been looking for in a recliner! I tried several other brands and they all had to be returned- they weren't comfortable at all. This recliner raises your legs very high, level with your torso. You can feel your legs relax instantly. There are no pressure points or places where you feel the metal parts of the chair. It is just a great design, period. I can see why people would buy this for the deck and decide to use it in the living room instead- it is that comfortable.
I got the padded model made from what feels like a cotton material. I don't know if it will last as long as a nylon mesh, but it is VERY comfortable and certainly a softer feel than nylon would be. The padding is thicker than I expected and very nice. The pillow also is thicker than I expected and is fully adjustable up or down to hit your neck just right. I plan to keep it out of the sun- it deserves a little more TLC than a simple lawn chair.
I got this recliner on sale, but it was still more than I wanted to pay. But it is such a superior product in design and quality, I plan on buying a second chair. Even if the other reviewers are correct, and I have to replace the shock cord, it is well worth it to get a chair that I can actually fall asleep in! Incredible!
