5AHHHHHHHH let the floating begin!  Sep 03, 2010
I ordered this and received it within days - how cool is that! I love this float! Keeps you cool because you are lying in the water but floating comfortably - very comfy and functional and folds back up like a dream!

4Convenient, Compact Water Hammock. Consider How Much Submersion You Want.  Aug 31, 2010
I was looking for a compact, portable floatation device on which to pleasantly drift around the pool. I saw someone using one of these collapsible hammocks, and it seemed like just the thing. The Kelsyus Floating Hammock is 66 x 40 inches (167 x 101 cm), collapses to a 19-inch (49 cm) disc, and inflates in 14 breaths. The outer, dark blue inflatable ring and pillow are made of a substantial nylon that seems pretty durable. The inner mesh, which suspends you partly submerged in the water, is a lightweight, light blue mesh. The pillow and outer ring inflate separately. Each takes me 7 puffs. If there is any difficulty, it's in punching the valve in quickly enough to seal it without letting air escape. But it takes no great time or effort to inflate the hammock. It won't leave you gasping for air.

The dark blue nylon is matte but looks a little slick when wet. The light blue meshing also covers the pillow on one side. I assume this is an attempt to keep the head rest dry. The pillow does keep my head comfortably out of the water at all times. When in the hammock, the top of my chest is out of the water, my midsection partly submerged, and legs slightly or mostly submerged depending on where I rest my feet (spread them apart for less submersion). This will be a matter of preference, but I would rather be submerged less. I'm also a lightweight person, 5'4" tall, so I'm not sure to what extent a heavier or taller person would be submerged in the water. A tall person's feet might dangle off the end. The instructions say the hammock will hold up to 250 pounds (113 kg).

The hammock is easy to get into and quite comfortable for floating around. It's a little difficult sometimes to get it to go where you want, or stop it from drifting where you don't want, as steering has to be done entirely with the arms. I don't find it quite as comfortable when lying on my stomach as on my back, and that position submerges me too much. I've been pleased with the hammock, though. It's a great alternative to lounging on a chair half the day, which can get pretty boring. You can feel the water and soak in the sun at the same time. I leave the hammock to dry in the sun, then deflate it, lie it flat, and fold it in thirds. If you do that, it collapses into a disc almost automatically. It packs into a round carrying case with handle that's easy to tote around.

5kelsyus water hammock  Aug 20, 2010
I bought two of these and found them to be easy to blow up and use. A little harder to fold than to unfold but I got it done and storage doesn't take much space. In use, they're great, comfortable to lie on and you don't need to balance yourself, as you do with a more solid type of float. These appear to be generally well made of reinforced material but I did have a problem with the mesh weave on one of my two. I notified the importer in VA and they quickly sent me a replacement, no questions asked. I'm well satisfied.

5Overpriced?  Jul 25, 2010
This item sells for $34.99 at Cabela's. If you purchase it for $199.99 you are getting gouged! The product itself is a great way to lounge in a pool or lake but you can get it for a lot better price elsewhere.

5Cool, Comfortable...we love it!  Jul 21, 2010
We live in Redding, CA, where it gets HOT and stays hot. Fortunately we have a swimming pool (or I would die), but I hate those awful vinyl pool loungers that stick to your skin. Plus, if you are completely out of the water, you roast in about two minutes. This lounger is the perfect solution! No yucky plastic feeling, and most of you is nicely suspended IN the water, keeping you much cooler. Your head is comfortably supported (I have a bad neck, so this is important), as well. I thought that maybe it wouldn't be comfortable for my husband, who is 6'2", but he loves it too. We're now thinking we may have to order a second one of these!
