Great Floating Cooler Aug 30, 2010 Very stable in slightly rough river water, would be ideal for lake or pool use. Even when tipped, cans did not come out of holders and the zipper top was great.
best bang for the buck for a river trip Aug 30, 2010 Got this for a 3 day river tubing trip and it is irreplaceable. I attached this beverage dingy to my tube (with some rope and carabiners) and always had cold drinks on hand. Enough spots (numbered, no less) for your friend's drinks too. Like other reviewers have pointed out - the main cooler compartment is much smaller than they let on. It's possible to cram 6 cans in there with ice or maybe 10 without. They must have been using the 6 outside in the holders in the manufacturer's calculations.
The construction is solid and the outer fabric casing protects it from rocks and branches and allows you to enjoy the great outdoors. Said covering doubles as a carrying pouch w/ strap once it's deflated = nice touch. Will definitely hold its own in a pool, the covering will take plenty of abuse.
My only beef is that I was looking forward to stashing small items in the zip pocket on the side but mine didn't have one (newer model?). I ended up putting things like keys/ID in a dry-bag and put that into the main cooler compartment.
Transporting it full was a tad awkward but the side handles helped a lot. I almost ordered the Airhead (Kwik Tek) floating cooler because it has a detacheable cooler w/ strap but it was more expensive. I guess it depends on how you're going to use this. Kwik Tek Airhead Aqua Oasis
Bottom Line: This is one of the best floaters out there for the price. Durable, holds pretty much the same as the rest, easy to transport once deflated, lets you know which drink is yours, and most importantly - keeps your main drinks cold.
Floating cooler Aug 16, 2010 I purchased this item to use on the days when you just want to relax out on the lake. It's perfect for the times that you want to anchor the boat and walk around in the water, just tie it to the boat and it's within reach for cold beverages.
Great!!! Aug 04, 2010 No more and no less than I expected. The price was better than I found elsewhere. The cooler is just as advertised.. and pretty much what I wanted. No Surprises.
well made and perfect in every way Jun 21, 2010 This product is so great we are going buy them as gifts for all our friends with boats and pools. the cooler has a great cover which protects the inflatable portion. this makes it look much better than a pool toy and protects it from the sun, scratches etc. it also has plastic tethers and canvas handles on either side so you can clip it to your boat. another great feature is that the carrying case actually zips into the float which means 1) you wont loose the case 2) you can store little things like keyes, kids toys, sunglasses etc, under the float in the zippered area!!! thats really great for parents who always get stuck holding toys. inside the cooler area there is actually a separate container bag which comes out so you can pour out water without having to flip the entire cooler. you can also use this bag to separate food from drinks etc. true- it only holds about 6 bottles of beer with ice... but for us cocktail drinkers, the vodka and mixers fit perfectly with tons of room left over for ice, waters and snacks. enjoy!
