GREAT!!! Jun 26, 2009
By Ride2Show So far this pool has been great, we had an Easy Set before which was fun, but this is MUCH better! The filtering system is much better (yes it could be some better, but come on, it's less than $1,000) and it's so much easier to clean the walls & floor.
Would I buy it again? YOU BET!!!

AWESOME pool, but get the largest filter Jun 16, 2010
By K. Thomson We have had this pool now for 3 years. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! It is very easy to set up and easy to take down. I am not a huge fan of Intex's filters as we have had to have it replaced once, but I don't know what to compare it to either. If you get this pool I can not stress enough to make sure you get the largest filter that they make. It will make your life much easier! the filter is quirky and sometimes it is hard to get it going, but once you get it going it really pushes the water and gets things clear. also Make sure you get the salt chlorinator system. It is absolutely the best thing ever and can't imagine not having it now! WE would always get a mucky pool until we got the chlorinator. We have had metal frame or ultra frame pools for the past 7 years and the ultra frame is by far the best and very durable. The trick to maintianing this pool and having clear sparkling water and to make sure your cholorinator doesn't clog with deposits is to MAKE SURE you are keeping the water ph levels in check I buy I giant bucket of acid to keep the ph where it needs to be. Our water typically has very high ph, because of this the chlorine is not effective and I get calcium build up on the chlorinator and it cloggs, also I would get alge and couldn't figure out why. since buying the correct ph decreaser (by the bucket) and making sure my ph levels are good, my pool no longer gets alge and the chlorinator does not clogg as fast. The chlorinator still needs to be cleans out periodically, but nothing like before and the pool stays crystal clear since the chlorine is more effective in well balanced ph water. If you keep the water where it needs to be you will LOVE this pool. for the price you can't beat the fun........

Pumps Don't Work Beware of WARRANTY!!!!!! Jul 09, 2009
By Mutt15 I am leaving feedback on this pool because I have the chlorine generator/filter pump that is sold with this pool.I actually had 3 pumps up until 2 days ago when I mailed one of them back for $65. My treat:0( This is based on intex's warranty. They will let you keep the first broken pump, but when they send you the replacement & it doesn't work. They want that broken JEWEL back.Yes, I only have 1 pool. When the pump works it is great. However, it doesn't work for very long.So don't go by any of the reviews based on "I have had this pump for mere weeks & it's great. Ask them after a year what they think:0( The reason I ended up with 3 pumps is 1)original pump -same as this one that came with my ultra frame 16'x48" kit 2)the replacement pump BROKEN out of the box 3)I bought a new one June 2009 it lasted 4 days started acting up after 2 days. I thought since the control panel looked a little different maybe it would have improved.Thought maybe the older versions were just lemons........ You also need to check the Better Business Bureau of Los Angeles for Intex Recreation Corp. rating.

Great Pool and Very Easy Jul 23, 2011
By 816 I admit I bought the actual pool from a store (I had read about Intex's poor customer service, so I wanted to be able to return it easily if there was a need.) I got the saltwater system from Amazon -- free shipping!!! It was super easy to put up. First, I ran a tiller over the area and then smoothed it out -- it wasn't perfectly level, but close enough. I put the pool together by myself (I'm a middle-aged woman) in a little over an hour.
It's a perfect size -- plenty big enough to actually do some swimming. I think anything smaller or shorter would limit you to just splashing around in it. I love, love, love having a pool, and the saltwater system is so much better than messing with (and paying for) all the chlorine products and having to breath them in as you swim. I did a lot of investigating before I bought to find the pool that was right for me -- this combination certainly lives up to my expectations.

Intex doesn't support their products after they have your $$$ Aug 14, 2010
By Marla On 5/27/10 I purchased the 18'x52" Intex Ultra Frame Above Ground Pool. We set up the pool in June and after running the pump for a few days, the timer feature stopped working and a hose was leaking. On 6/10/10 I faxed over my proof of purchase. On 6/23/10 we received a replacement pump and hose. The hose was fine, but the timer feature didn't work on the replacement pump Intex sent us. I immediately called customer service and was told that I had to send back the defective pump at my cost (which would be approximately $40), even though INTEX sent me a defective replacement pump to replace my originally purchased defective pump. This does not make sense to me! I asked for a supervisor, and never heard back. I called back again in late June and in early July, and each time I was told that a supervisor would contact me, but they never did. So we decided to just use the pump without the luxury of the timer feature. And now after less than 2 months of using the pump, it died! It won't start at all.
I sent Intex 2 emails and a fax to which they FINALLY responded. Unfortunately for me, Intex refuses to replace my defective pump unless I ship it back to them first; they could care less that we just spent over $500 getting their pool & pump, now they expect us to shell out another $40 to send them back their defective pump. We totally forgot about Intex and purchased a Hayward pump & filter combo.
I think every reputable store should stop carrying a product where the manufacturer does not support their products that are well within the 1 year warranty period!!!!!
