4Pretty good pool float  Jun 15, 2008 By Karyn Biasca "Dr. B"
I used this float all summer last year. It held up well and it's holding air well this year too. When fully inflated, it keeps you truly up and out of the water, so it was really nice to use when the water in the pool hadn't yet warmed up to my preferred temperature. This also means that when it's hot, you're not going to be cooled off as much as if you used a mesh-type float. And, since it's vinyl, you will stick to the surface, especially if it's hot. Very comfortable, though, and great to float around with a cool drink and read!

5This is not a Toy...  Jun 21, 2009 By 59er
I don't know why Amazon catagorizes this lounger as a toy for this review, but it's nothing like the cheap $[...] flat floats that you find in discount stores like [...]. I've had mine for a few weeks and absolutely love it! Very comfortable and the cup holders are a real plus, fill two tumblers and float out to the middle of the pool without needing to go inside for a refill so soon. The handles also are a help when bringing it out of the water. There has been one negative which I must mention. So far I've had to add a bit of air twice to keep it as firm as I like it. I just like having it fully inflated each time that I use it (several times a week), so I am a little fussy, probably more so than most people. By far its the best float that I've used.
Update 10/16/2009-After a full season of using this float, I can say that it loses very little air if the plug is quite secure after inflating.

3Good design but not durable in use  May 10, 2011 By G. Carter
We bought two of the Intex floating lounge chairs for our pool a few months ago. They are comfortable, generously proportioned and extremely stable. The dual cup holders are convenient, but a bit small for a drink can with a cozy... a drink can alone fits fine. I love the handles, too. My wife and I tied our chairs together with a bungee cord so we could float and talk and talk and talk....
My only complaint is that the colors faded quite rapidly, and they both failed after about four months of exposure to pool chemicals and the south Florida sun. The main part of both chairs are fine, but the arms separated from the chair body at the two attachment points (directly under the handles), causing the arms to deflate. I just finished cutting the arms off, so what we have now are somewhat unstable, but still usable, floats.
The Intex floating lounge chair might work fine in a place where the sun is not so direct, or where it is removed from the water and put in the shade when not in use.

5Fun and Tough  Sep 07, 2008 By Bettye Strader "Reading Grandma"
Great buy. Big, comfortable and tough. My grandson floated down a section of the Guadalupe River through some rapids and over lots of rough rocks. The float made it like a champ. I would recomment anyone buy this.
