3A Pool Cover For Sure, But Not The Best  May 05, 2010 By Josh Marquis "jmarquis"
Bottom line, it's a pool cover that does work when it's not windy. It's very lightweight and easy to install the first time. I could have easily done it myself, but decided to have my wife help and it went on in about three minutes. It's a light blue color and floats on top of the water with holes spaced throughout to help rain water drain through. The only downfall I've noticed so far is the lack of tiedowns. Instead of being able to tie it to the frame of the pool, you can only tighten it around the sides with a single rope that doesn't hold snugly like in the picture shown. When you get any kind of wind above a few mph, the wind catches the pool cover and lifts it off the pool frame and you end up with a pool cover sitting at the bottom of your outdoor pool. When this happens, it is very hard to put back on because the water weighs the pool cover down and it's almost impossible to put on by yourself.

I ended up having to reinforce parts of the pool cover with duct tape about every six feet and then cut a small hole where I put a rope through to help tie it down. Once I did this in about 7 different spots, I had no issues with the wind flipping the cover off the pool. This feature should have been intergrated into the pool cover design.

If you want to keep the cover clean when not being used, I suggest buying a 30-gallon trash can, undoing the rope, and then pulling it directly into the trash can to keep dirt and grass off of it while not in use.

2OK Pool Cover  Jan 13, 2012 By Ben Smith
I got this cover with the purchase of the pool. As others have written, it will flip off in the wind. I put the cover on in October - it's been a mild winter here. Woke up this morning to find it in shreds - it ripped all around the pool edges -- where the stitching is. This is not a multiple piece of fabric -- the main circle and then the outside edge is stitched all the way around the middle piece - this is where the tear started and continued 3/4 of the way around. Three months is not very long for a pool cover to last. The tie around rope is also weak, as others have written. I would imagine this pool cover would work well in an area with no wind, as the lightest wind will force this cover up and off.

3Tight fit  Jul 06, 2011 By Pool shark
This product is great and fits snug but .....that string that is soppose to tighten it around the pool is pretty weak and does not tighten very well...had to wrap it around a pole to protect against wind.

5Great product  Aug 26, 2009 By Laura Diaz "little girl"
Good product for the price. I have used it for only a couple of months but so far it has been resistent to rain and really hot weather. I would recommend it to others.
