Good chair, bad warranty coverage Apr 30, 2010
By Rathijit Banerjee I absolutely LOVE this recliner, but their "2 year warranty" assurance is such a lie! And their "durable" build quality is a joke. The elastic lacing along the edges of the seat ripped after just 3 months of moderate use - Before u ask, I weigh 175 lb, and I only used the recliner during the weekends (never having jumped on it, or abused it in any way). I thought, "Hey, it's under warranty!" and called the dealer to get replacement elastic bands. They asked me to contact another number since they did not deal with replacement parts and I obliged. But after trying repeatedly for about 10 days to reach someone at that other number, I finally got to talk to someone, but he promptly asked me to contact yet another number (the warranty department) which was again a number that was apparently never answered. Anyway, after a total of 3 redirections & 15 days of trying to get the right department, I was told by their warranty department that the "2 year warranty" does not cover the elastic lacing, and was given a link to an online store where I could order replacements for $15 + and additional $8 for shipping. I'm now paying 1/4th the price I paid for the actual recliner to get it fixed after having owned it for just 3 months. Happy customer? Yeah, right! >:(

Fell apart on fourth use..........poor quality Jul 09, 2009
By Avid Reader I'm a larger person but weigh less than the upper range rating listed for this chair. Although it seated comfortably the first three uses, on the fourth use a critical "plastic" part snapped making the chair useless. I'll be applying for relief under the 2 yr. waranty, but I found it incongruous that a chair made of powder coated steel for strength depended on a small, thin piece of plastic less than a 1/2 in. in width?? Why wouldn't all parts be similarly designed for strength.

If I could give this chair "zero" stars I would. May 11, 2010

"Amazondan"
Do not purchase this chair. I ordered my first one through Amazon and within two months, the webbing ripped out (though used by my son who weighs 150 pounds). Amazon refunded and thinking it was a bad luck of the draw, I ordered a second. Since Amazon discontinued the chair, I ordered through one of their "trusted partners." Within two months of getting the new chair, the lacing disintegrated. Kotula's, the seller, told me too bad that they only had a 30-day return policy (though they hadn't posted that). So I called the manufacturer and he told me that many things wear out in two months. He had the audacity to tell me that oftentimes if you buy a new car, the brakes will wear out in two months. Told him that was ridiculous and had no bearing on his faulty chair. Indicated that I either wanted my money back or the chair repaired. He said that the only thing he could do was to send me more lacing and that I could repair it myself. So apparently, that's their 2-year warranty policy. What a joke! I see under these comments that I'm not the only one that has experienced this type of breakdown. Save your money and purchase something that will last longer than 60 days. If this chair was in fact a car, there'd be a federally mandated recall within minutes!

Over rated Aug 12, 2009
By Orwell I returned this recliner because the bungi broke. I weigh 225 lbs and this XL recliner was rated for 350 lbs. If it's made in China don't buy it. I only had the recliner for 2 weeks when it failed.

Great for a tall guy! Jul 04, 2009
By R. Dostal I bought this chair for my 6' 9'' husband for his first father's day this year. It's difficult to find I chair that will support his weight, has tall enough back support and long enough leg support. This chair is very study and has a very tall back. The leg section is a little short and could use a little more support/padding at the foot areas. his ankles hit the bottom bar which isn't very comfortable. Over all, however, he loves the chair, especially the 0 gravity position. He and the baby enjoy sitting in the garden in the evenings!
