great for easy exercise May 05, 2010
By lisa After seeing a number of people at the pool gym uset hese fins, I became very curious and purchased them.
I've been doing stationary exercizes in the pool for over a year, but am generally not a good or interested swimmer (although I wished I was, since the health benefits are so great).
I was very pleased and surprised when I discovered that by using these fins, I can now happily and comfortably 'swim' in the pool for 30 minutes at a time...Yes, with my very 1st use of these fins I immediately added 30 minutes to my pool workout, so yippee! I swim on my back using a swim belt and these fins and become an instant mermaid, toning my legs and getting a good cardio workout, so I highly recommend purchasing if you are interested in them.
Of note, the reviews I read frequently stated that people can get blisters using them. Curiously, the 1st time I used the fins I didn't get any, but the 2nd time I did. The 3rd time I didn't and wondered why, so I examined the fins more closely and think I determined that the fins could be 'footed' (left footed and righ footed)...No-one in these reviews has stated this and the company website doesn't either, but to me one side of the fin seems harder than the other (the outside is harder and less bendy than the inside, similar to a regular shoe), and by putting a specific fin on my right or left foot, I haven't had a blister since...I've made a useful physical mark on my fins to help me keep track of which I should wear on my right or left foot, since I can't tell just based on appearance.
Also, yes, the fins can pinch for a split second when you first put them on, but by putting them on in the pool as opposed to with dry feet, it's barely noticable to me.
I hope these two pointers help. I'm having alot of fun with them and am happy to reap the benefits of improved and sustained pool exercise.

These run small, order one size up from your shoes Dec 11, 2008
By Ali Julia I ordered blue fins, size D. I wear size 7, Size D was rated up to size 8 for women so I figured they would ok for me. I could pull them on with effort, but in the water I was in a lot of pain all over (toes, top of the foot, back of the foot) since the fin + water put additional pressure. I had to return and get the next size E and they are comfortable. They are in no danger of falling off, it takes effort to pull them off by hand.
The exchange was flawless (swim2000 was great), but of course it cost me extra to pay return shipping which was over $6.
Finis Zoomers provide an extra dimension to your swimming routine. A little extra variety makes swimming more fun, and that's a good thing! It takes only a few minutes to get used to the fins. My favorite stroke to use them on is back stroke. It really gives a good workout. I can really feel my muscles working. Once I exchanged the fin for the next size up, they are very comfortable and don't hurt my feet even after a long work out.

snorkle fins Jan 08, 2008

I wear a 13 wide, my 11.5 to 13 Zoomers were a tight fit but I could get them on, follow the advice and use beeswax / commercial name'snowseal' [found in shoe dept.] for much improved experience Used them for snorkling and they worked well, much better than bare feet Its a different experience from diving fins [longer slower leg pump], closer to normal swiming with much added thrust [shorter normal leg flutter kick] note they sink like a rock in water I would recommend them and buy them again

I use them in kick sets for Masters swim workouts as they increase leg strength. My last pair lasted about 15 years, and I expect these to do as well. They are compact and ease to transport if necessary.

...trust me, or get whatever lesser you get (often gimmick, think I've bought 'em all!). Their use is not limited to the pool...great for ocean swimming, snorkeling and even light-current scuba, especially on travel. :-)
