nice looking set Sep 01, 2011
By Anthony Rodriguez This is a pretty nice system. It goes in the ground so you'll need to drill through your concrete about 4 inches or so. Other than that, the installation is easy. Looks very nice.
The rim diameter isn't regulation, it's a kids size or junior size. That means that a regular sized basketball doesn't fit in it, only a junior size does. The ball that comes with the system is crap...didn't seem to go in the hole very often:)...I assure you it wasn't the shooter..I went out and bought a new junior size ball from big 5...looked pretty much the same size but the material it was made out of was much better. The ball now goes in to the basket a lot more and it bounces off the rim nicer. Plus the ball that came with it, leaked so it never stayed full of air...i trashed it.
I'd recommend the system...a bit expensive but it will probably last a long time since everything is either aluminum, brass or acrylic. The rim is covered in a vinyl coating to keep it from rusting...so far so good.
