Holding up May 12, 2009
By K. Givens This is the second year of use for this skimmer. It is holding up well. It is larger than the skimmer that came with the pool, so it doesn't have to be cleaned as often. I recommend it for your 18 ft. above ground pool.

By Carole Jeffs It does the job, but I was hoping for a stronger replacement than the original skimmer I was replacing. They are all made of heavy plastic but it does not standup to the sun, pool chemicals and bumping from the children playing in the pool. this was the best one I could find to fit our above ground pool. I'm sure this one will last throughout the season ..... so it will work for us. ( the skimmer arm is the part that keeps breaking on ours.)

By D. O'Neal The skimmer that came with my Intex worked fine but the bracket broke after 4 years of use. This one is a great deal bigger than the one I had. It came with the conector, conector hose and brackets for both flat and pole pools,. I put it in as soon as I got it and it cleaned off the top of my pool within 30 minutes! I am very satisfied and glad that I purchased it!

By James La Traille I have had this skimmer now for 3 months and works great. I used a cover last season and found out that when your cover ends up with water on the top all the trash on top ends up in the pool anyway. This skimmer has removed the need for a cover. I have many trees and it work well in catching allot of the leaves. My maintance on the pool has been reduced greatly. Some say that it does not work well and the leaves get caught in between the bucket and screen. This is do to improper setup. Set the bucket about a inch from the water line and twist the hose around on the intake to put bucket level form left to right. In doing this it works great. Just make sure that the flow is going in all around the lip of the intake bucket.
