Super Squirter Jul 30, 2007

When I opened the box and looked at the product, I was amazed at the rugged look and feel of it. It is pretty sturdy and holds quite a large amount of water. I plugged in the battery pack and charged it per recommended times and installed the 9.6 V battery pack and POW was amazed at the distance it can shoot. The pump delivers a constant stream and the charge lasts for a very long time. It is so much fun that I bought one for myself, my co-worker, and sent two to my kids at home. I am currently staioned in Afghanistan and this is definately a morale booster. I bought it due to a rating on a news web site and I think it is well worth it.

Good Cat Detterent May 20, 2008
By Philip Nickels I bought this toy to keep cats from strolling into my yard and on my porch. There are about 20 that reside in the adjacent residence. The gun has a good range and produces and accurate and steady stream. It is the best water gun I have used to date and the cats no longer congregate in my yard (or at least when I'm not around).

Bad idea Jul 02, 2008

I purchased this $[...] watergun for my teenage son with the idea that he would enjoy having a powered watergun that was touted to shoot a stream '35 feet'. Well, it worked for one outing of about a half hour and since then has only managed to dribble water from the spout despite repeated charges. A total write-off. DO NOT BUY THIS WATERGUN if you have given it a passing thought. Go instead with one of the pump super soaker type guns that the kids can power themselves with pump action -- they don't ordinarily fail in the first day of use.

Battery not available? Mar 03, 2011
By Nik Willmore My Bengal cat just laughed at a normal squirt gun. He was going through a phase of screaming all day long with unrevealed demands when attention was given. A pump soaker always ran out of pressure overnight so was useless since bad kitty ran into a closet and though it was a fun game, only to start motor meowing shortly thereafter. With this stealthy electric model kitty has little chance of avoiding a wet nose. Now I only have to nail him a couple times a week. Other times I just say "shut up!" loudly enough to get good attention and he actually stops being so weird for most of the day. I don't think he understood that screaming loud meowing was in fact bothering me. I have ADD and work at home so it was really starting to effect the quality of my ability to get anything done.
Alas, the battery no longer charges much and there is no replacements to be found. I guess I could just shake it at him, which certainly gets his attention, but the feeling of power I would miss. Having a peaceful day with a playful kitty convinces me that the means justified the end.
One issue is that it stops pumping is tilted up more than 30-40 degrees. Other than that, it sure does the job. The design actually looks functional instead of merely fantasy like so I'm not as embarrassed having it around. It works well on girlfriends but there's the risk of surprise retaliation.
The battery is 3.9"X2.25"X0.58", 9.6V, 600mAH, Ni-Cad, AA. Ah! They are 8X AA cells. I found one that will fit: http://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-2000mAh-Capacity-Battery-Security/dp/B001BBMZFU/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1299184484&sr=1-2
"Two Tenergy 9.6V 2000mAh NiMH High Capacity Battery Packs" are 3X the capacity. It's a bit too wide (2.3" instead of 2.25" but the battery cover has extra space in it that I will likely carve out with a blade or break off with a pliers.

By Jerry Gilles if your a water gun warrior you want this long rang no pumping and a the battery last 1 day long enough to charge at night just point and fire and if you lift weight buy 2 but they are currently unavailable..... bring back my gun.....or something ten times better also it doesn't splash its a thick quick long stream my advice put ice in it to give friends a nice chill :~) just aim and fire no pumming!!
