High hopes - dashed : update with addition of self purchased hardware, works great May 29, 2010
By Rickster The other reviews gave me high hopes for this product.
The device has one end that "immitates" a brush and plugs into your pole, and locks on with one of the two button plastic things.
The other end is a "pipe" with two holes that immitates the end of your pool pole, so you can plug in your brush.
Unfortunately, the end that accepts your brush has too large a diameter.
It is quite a bit bigger than my pool pole.
All of my brushes wiggle in it - a lot.
When I try to use it, the plastic pins on my brushes pop out of the holes and the brush falls out.
I may try and "shim" the hole, but as designed and delivered, it's worthless.

Update 06-13-10
I purchased a "Hitch Pin" at Lowes - see picture above.
By removing the plastic pins from my bushes and using the hitch pin to hold them into the brush booster, the device works great.
The fact that I had to figure out and purchase extra hardware to make it work keeps me from giving it 5 stars.

Yessss! Jun 20, 2009
By Sacratomato Every pool owner knows how hard it is to clean the walls of a pool; using a pole and brush, it is almost impossible to scrub the walls without the brush skipping off the surface.
I rarely give a 5 star rating, but the Brush Booster really surprised me! It felt like the brush was glued to the wall. It increased the effort to move the pole and brush a very tiny bit, but I'd accept that any day. Only when the brush gets near the surface does the Brush Booster get in the way of smooth operation.
I thought about giving 4 stars because I'm not sure of the longevity of Brush Booster past a season or two. The big yellow "wing" you see in the pictures pivots on a plastic bar that is attached with four screws. I really don't like plastic used on stress points. But since I don't know for sure the bar or screws will fail and since I'm very happy with the Brush Booster's performance, I left the rating at 5 stars.

works very well Sep 21, 2009
By mariner This really works well to keep the brush pushed against the walls of the pool.
My son was skeptical Aug 12, 2011

My son does the pool cleaning and he laughed about it. He used it and said it really works.
