Description

The Aqua Jogger Pro Plus Belt - For average waisted men. Ideal for "Sinkers" - men or athletes with more muscle mass. This belt has 50% more buoyancy than the Classic. Resilient closed cell foam won't absorb water, dries quickly, and resists chlorine damage. Patented contoured design supports and strengthens the lower back. Soft, flexible foam narrows at the waist for comfort and freedom of movement. Easy-to-operate quick-release buckle ensures a hassle-free fit. Custom-woven elastic belt comfortably moves with every breath and adjusts to fit waist. The AquaJogger® design tones the abdominal muscles without doing a single sit-up due to the continual use of abdominal muscles to maintain correct posture. To accomodate different body shapes, belt can be worn upside down or with the foam in front of the body.

5Aqua Jogging  Apr 02, 2007 By James G. Bennett Jr. "jgbennett2"
I've been using Aqua Jogger belts for years. As it happens, I didn't buy mine from Amazon because at that time they didn't have them. The belts are well designed, comfortable to wear and durable. They are sized by body weight so look at the different sizes carefully and choose the one that matches your weight.

The exercise is top notch and best of all, they are nearly impossible to hurt yourself with. I can't recommend them too highly for people who have knee or leg problems. In my case, I have several herniated discs in my back and the belt allows me to exercise without injuring my back further. A few cautions; the belt is not a swim aid. If you can't swim, this is not for you. Secondly, discuss the idea of water exercise with your doctor before you do anything else. Most doctors are quite positive about it. Lastly, water exercise is a lot more strenuous than it looks because you are working against the resistance of the water. I've seen claims that water is 400 times as dense as air and I suspect that it is true. So ease into it a little at a time until your natural endurance increases.

They come with a CD about water exercise. The people shown are young and quite athletic. They put on a show. But don't let their actions throw you. There is no reason to move as actively or forcefully as they do. Do what is comfortable for you. Any motion in the water is exercise and will probably be good for you. Start in water where your feet can't touch the bottom and just walk briskly. Later, work up to a slow jog. But, work at your pace, don't be buffaloed into trying to do what someone else can do. Enjoy!

3I Ended Up Doing Deep Water Workout Better WITHOUT THE BELT  Aug 27, 2009 By carol irvin "carol irvin"
I am 61 years old and need cortisone shots for my knees every three months. Swimming is my major form of exercise. I used this belt for awhile and found it extremely cumbersome and boring. There you were strapped in so that you could work your legs and arms in deeper water. Ho Hum. I took the belt off, put weights around my ankles and webbed gloves on my hands (and sometimes barbells) and I discovered that I could do the process even better WITHOUT THE BELT. Now admittedly I am a very good swimmer and I can tread water on my own forever. However, many people can say this about themselves. If you are one of these people, it will feel a lot better to work your arms and legs with the swim accessories for your legs and arms in deeper water WITHOUT THE BELT. You also can move around better so it is less boring. If you are a poor swimmer, then this product may indeed be for you although I do not like putting a poor swimmer in deeper water from a safety standpoint regardless of what he or she is wearing.
